About Deland:

DeLand is the county seat of Volusia County, Florida. As of the 2000 census, the city had a total population of 20,904. As of 2004, the population recorded by the U.S. Census Bureau is 22,857. DeLand, nicknamed the "Athens of Florida", is the home of Stetson University. (More Info and Source)
